The cylinder has a faint turn line not through the finish. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup produces hardly any side-to-side play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double-action trigger is smooth, the single action crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.

Our Assessment: The .357 Magnum was the king of handgun cartridges for decades and Smith & Wesson made some of the best. This example comes to us from the ’70s with its finely checkered topstrap and rib, pinned barrel, and recessed chambers. They literally do not make them like this anymore. This revolver has a blued finish, 8 3/8″ barrel, and nice checkered walnut magna stocks. It is in about Fine-Excellent condition with about 97% of its original blue finish and a fantastic bore. The gun is in excellent mechanical shape, it has a nice lockup and nice trigger pulls, this will be a great addition to a Smith collection and certainly be a nice shooter for fun at the range. Please see our photos and good luck!
